Stepping Stones: The Ripple Effect

Transformational Tip
So many of us look at the world…with all its problems, disobedience, ignorance, unbelief…and think to ourselves, "can I really do anything that would make a difference at all?" We sit around waiting for someone else to make the first move…when nothing happens, we certainly don't blame ourselves. It's our nature to look anywhere but where we should…within. We need to start with ourselves…anchoring ourselves spiritually before attempting to make any positive change in the world around us. Christian Action calls for a PLAN - using Jesus as our model. I’m not talking about volunteering at church or attending that extra weekday service. I’m talking about spreading the message, furthering the kingdom of God. God wants to use you now in people’s lives.
Today, make a plan through thought and prayer. Once you begin to work your plan, keep your faith and remember to be flexible…things are not always going to go as you thought they might. Keep your perspective, be authentic, and don't do it alone! Surround yourself with other Christians - God's grace creates enthusiasm to pass it on…so use this to your advantage. Christian Action becomes Everyday Action…you will see the change not only in yourself, but in the world around you! Begin to create your ripple. Prayer
Dear Father God,
I look at what a mess this world has become and think there is nothing I can do to help change it…making it more to Your liking. Teach me Lord to start with myself and lead a Christian life that involves action and not just thinking, sitting, and then doing nothing. Like a pebble being thrown into still water, let my actions ripple outward…spreading to those around me. Help me to make a plan, using Jesus as my model. Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life.” Help me Father to follow His way. Allow Him to shine in me through my everyday actions. I pray this to you in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and all God’s children said, - AMEN!
