Stepping Stones: I’m so Busy!

Transformational Tip
How many times have you heard someone say; "I'm so busy" or "I just have so much to do"? How many times have you said it yourself? It’s so easy to get consumed with things. Have you ever stopped and asked yourself what are you doing with your time? Do you find yourself just running from place to place? Do you feel like life is just passing us by. We're doing so many things, a little bit of everything, and yet it doesn't feel like much of a life at all. But most of us find it hard to say no. We feel obligated. There are so many good things to do. So many good causes to join. But while we're busy doing all these good things, are we missing out on something great? Maybe saying no would be easier if we knew what wonderful things are possible when we say yes to spending time with God.
Today, think about how you spend your time? Really look at how much time you spend with your spouse, kids, and God. Think about saying no to some things so you can say yes to something that might transform your life.

Prayer
Dear Father God,
I’m frazzled Lord. I feeling like I’m running from the time I wake until the time I go to bed. I feel as if someone else is in control of my time. I keep saying yes to everything. Help me Father to say no to the things that consume my time and deliver little value. Help me Father to learn how to say yes to those things that glorify You…that get me closer to You. I want to do Your work Lord; I want to further Your Kingdom. I pray this in the name of Jesus, and all God’s people said, – AMEN!

The Truth
“You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?" declares the LORD Almighty. "Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house.”
Haggai 1:9
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33
